Isaac @7months

Hmm....overall Isaac has been growing pretty well for a 7months old baby boy. Doctor measure his height, weight and head circumference and concluded that he is a big baby. Dr Tan did some development test with him. First, he grab a toy and move the toy to the left and then slowly to the right and then drop the toy. Isaac follow all his actions and movements with no problem at all. The next test was he gave him another toy and Isaac reach his 2 hands and then slowly uses one hand to grab the toy. Dr Tan said that he is begining to grab things using one hand now instead of both hands and he is able to pass the toy from one hand to another hand now. Next test was he put a small button on his palm and ask Isaac to grab the button. Isaac push the button and then pick the button up with his middle finger and thumb. Dr Tan also said not bad to this. His physical and fine motor skills are both very good but I'm worried about one thing though. He haven't started talking yet :( Dr Tan asked whether has he start to mumble mamamama or dadadada and I told him none. Actually I hardly hear him talking and mumbling.
Dr Tan did say boys start to talk slower compare to girls and mention something abt their brain funtions. I remember Naomi already started talking around this age and she can say few words and call me mama before she even turns 1. I think Isaac is really Mr Cool after all?

No eggs please!

This is a back dated post. This incident happened 2 weeks ago and it was so scary.
I was suppose to work till 7:30 that day and I received a frantic phone call at 6pm from Alice, my babysitter. She asked me to come over to her house asap as Isaac was sick as in seriously sick. She started off by telling me Isaac was having difficulties in breathing and has lots of cold sweat. Besides that, his body was red and swollen. My hands were shaking already that time. The first thing I asked her was “What did you feed him just now? Anything new?” Her reply was “Egg” I was horrified and told her no eggs for babies before 1 year old! As the chances of developing allergy is very high.
She said she took Isaac to the 24hours clinic and the doctor told her to send Isaac to the hospital straight away. I asked my babysitter to take him to the hospital first and will meet them there.
I called Dr Tan on his handphone and he told me has night clinic that day and he will be coming in at 7pm. By the time I reach hospital, the time was already 6:40pm (cause of the traffic jam at the industrial zone area). When I reach hospital, I saw Isaac’s face was so white and pale and he was very very very weak. I’ve never seen him that weak before and his eyes were like rolling upwards and wanted to fell asleep. My babysitter kept talking and playing with him so that he doesn’t fall to deep sleep.
We couldn’t wait any longer so we took him to the emergency instead. The nurse was not helpful at all and they kept saying nothing wrong with him (That time his breathing was back to normal, no more swollen body but he look very very pale and weak).
After some persuasions from us they finally his temperature and oxygen level and told us everything looks normal. I was a bit relieved that time but I just want the doctor to confirm it.
Dr Tan finally came at 7pm sharp! He said he was driving like an F1 driver to reach the hospital as fast as he could. When he saw Isaac, he straight away carries him and kisses him while we make ourselves inside his workplace. He said this is definitely allergy reactions already and ask us not to worry too much. By taking medications Isaac should be fine and no need for any admission. Thank God! :)
Back home, feeding Isaac’s medicine was “not so easy” task as I need to force the medicine down his throat. Less than 1 hour, he became to look ‘normal’ again.
According to Alice, his body reacts very fast to the egg. It was like less than 10seconds, his body started to react and he was having difficulties in breathing for about 20minutes. Alice told me she was so panicked and quickly drove him to the nearby clinic already.
